In 1974 in Boston Massachusetts, two friends who shared a passion for motorcycles, decided to put their knowledge and love for riding to good use. Starting out with just a small sewing machine a few samples and some intuition, they started what today is known as, Vanson Leathers. Vanson Leathers is now sold all over the world with over 250 styles being sold daily.

Growing up overseas, business owner Michael Vanson fell in love with motorcycles at the young age of 14. Trying to learn everything he could about his new hobby he started working as an apprentice in a motorcycle dealership. After moving to Boston to attend college, he started working for a motorcycle manufacturer. Unfortunately, deliveries were canceled and Michael found himself looking for another career. This unlucky turn of events turned out to be good fortune for Michael as he soon decided that he could easily use his expertise with motorcycles into a profitable enterprise.

Vanson Leathers has come a long way from its humble beginnings of a small shop in Boston with just a handful of people which has now grown to 100 employees in two locations, one in their home state of Massachusetts and another in Salvador El Salvado.
